Completed A2 and two A3 acrylic works on paper.
I wanted to continue developing my painting style with these pieces. Visually, I hoped to convey more fluidity with my brushstrokes and use of acrylic paint. I have been enjoying using large square brushes and thick paint. These materials in use really emphasise physical activity from the walks. To expand on this idea, I considered aspects of time, climate, movement and emotion. These ideas are consistently moving, thus going hand in hand with my material use. I've also continued with the same colour scheme as the deep blues and yellow personally, evoke emotion for me as an artist. These particular paintings reference back to Grayson Perry's theory of "emotional maps." I strongly believe these accurately represent my current emotional "map" or "maps".
