Some images here from a dog walk. These will be found on this website and printed in my visual diary. In this set of images I photographed my start and end point (my street). When I take Lulu to the Necropolis I have to walk the past the old hospital on Duke Street. It's sad that it's been left to rot. The building is a significant landmark for me as my own mother was born there. It's also a great example of architecture in Glasgow. Secondly, I can't not make note of the Cathedral. This religious building really has a sense of purpose and place. The weather was also great. A brisk cold day but warm in the direct sun. The sharp cold on my hands really is marked greatly in this memory.

I began my visual diary by conducting these blind drawings of the routes I walk with the dog. These are the first two, where I also labelled the street names. Creating my own map book as such. I plan to keep up with these drawings and post them onto here regularly.

After researching Terry Ownby and Roland Barthes I began to systemise my working. This approach will also benefit the process as it keeps myself on track with the practice. Something I could complete daily.

My system is to record every walk I take with my dog. Every time I'm out with her in the local area there's always something worth noting. Such as a building or structure to the weather and how I pick up on that with my senses. One diary is kept for narrative text and another for

visual narration. I started to draw and print photographs to paste in.
