Morning walk, 10:49am, black chunky trainers, dull, not that cold, damp, driech, uninspired, dog is happy, she got compliments which cheers us both up.

(Upon reflection, these entries are complete waffle. So I've decided to narrow down key features including weather, what I'm wearing, mine and Lulu's moods, time, etc)

Some more developments to help me understand the paths which I could take painting forward.

1st image - acrylic pen on A4. I overlapped all the tracings I had so far at that point to see what the final shape would be. I wasn't too keen on the result so never took it forward.

2nd image - tracing paper, acrylic, acrylic pen on A4. I was happy with the results of layering I was trying to achieve. Next time I would be better using acetate instead of tracing paper so the product would be clearer. Of all three studies I believe this is the strongest. However, splitting into layers did make me visualise this being taken forward into screenprinting. Something I am strongly considering.

3rd image - mixed media collage on A4. I've enjoyed working with mixed media in the past so felt natural to make this. I do like the shapes created but overall looks quite messy and rushed. After this I've put collage/mixed media on hold for now.
