Two acrylic on 41x41cm canvas

One acrylic on A3

One acrylic on A2

Expanding on the series of Routes I. I increased the scale. I think as a group they work together. However I feel the painting quality could be better. Because of that, I would like to pursue these as prints instead. I do like the repeat pattern that's emerged. Thinking back to my lino cuts on fabric I think this technique would also be more suited to that rather than acrylic painting. Even though I'm not 100% satisfied with the end result I know now how I'm going to develop my practice. I do wish I'd kept those simple shapes from Routes I. As well as upscaling the canvas or paper I should be upscaling those original forms too.

This is a mini series of 21x21cm paintings. I quite liked the simplicity of the shapes and use of colour here. To expand on this series I plan to take them up onto bigger canvases.
